Frequently Asked Questions

What Is Curve Grease?

Curve grease is a specialized lubricant applied to rail curves to reduce friction between wheels and rails. BioGrease RC 1 helps minimize wear, noise, and energy loss in rail systems.

Which Lubricant Is Used in Railway Tracks?

Railway tracks commonly use rail curve grease or rail lubrication systems to protect both rail and wheel surfaces and reduce metal to metal contact noise which is especially important in residential areas. BioGrease RC 1 is formulated for heavy loads, noise reduction and outdoor exposure common in rail applications.

What to Grease Linear Rails With?

Linear rails require a grease that provides strong film strength, adhesion, and wear protection. BioGrease RC 1 offers excellent load-carrying capability and resistance to washout, making it suitable for linear motion systems.

Do They Grease Railroad Tracks?

Yes. Railroad tracks, especially curves, are greased to reduce wear, noise, and maintenance costs. Rail greases like BioGrease RC 1 are applied manually or through automated systems.

How Often Should Linear Rails Be Greased?

Linear rail greasing frequency depends on load, speed, and environmental conditions. In general, linear rails should be lubricated at regular maintenance intervals or whenever signs of dryness or increased friction appear. Using a high-performance grease like BioGrease RC 1 can help extend relubrication intervals.
